The Al-Ajiri Center for Astronomy stated that the second mansab of the Al-Wasm season, known as “Al-Samak,” begins on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and lasts for 13 days, bringing with it a sense of nighttime cold.
The center clarified that the weather during this mansab is characterized by cool nights, humid winds at sunrise, and an increase in nighttime hours, noting that this period marks the earliest time for the Dhuhr (noon) prayer of the year.
It added that one of the key features of “Al-Samak” is the feeling of cold water, especially in the morning, pointing out that ancestors used to identify the arrival of this mansab by the increase in sheep births, along with a higher chance of rainfall.
The center noted that nighttime hours increase significantly during this mansab, while the sun sets earlier, urging people to follow prayer times and schedules via the Al-Ajiri app.
