America Plans to Begin Expanded Production of Extended-Range GMLRS Rocket Launch System - Sarmad

Lockheed Martin plans to produce and field the Extended-Range Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (ER GMLRS) following two successful operational tests conducted by U.S. Army personnel.

The tests, carried out in September and October at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, demonstrated the effectiveness of the new rockets. They involved launching multiple rockets in both the single-warhead and alternative warhead configurations, using the M270A2 launcher, according to Army Technology.

The company stated that the trials confirmed the system’s ability to deliver precise fires at extended ranges under diverse operational conditions.
