The Arab League on Friday expressed its unequivocal condemnation in the strongest terms of the attacks carried out by the Houthis on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and the Shaybah oil field in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the League denounced the ongoing attacks on Saudi Arabia, describing them as a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty over its territory and a direct threat to its security and stability, endangering civil aviation and energy security, while also undermining efforts to de-escalate tensions and achieve a political resolution to the crisis in Yemen.
The Arab League reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures taken to protect the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, affirming that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of collective Arab security.
The statement called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in halting these attacks and preventing their recurrence.
