Electricity Minister: Leveraging Technology and Korean Expertise to Develop Ministry Projects - Sarmad

The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Al-Makhzoum, held talks with the South Korean Ambassador to Kuwait, Jang Hyun Kim, on ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy, and the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

The Ministry said in a press statement on Thursday that the two sides discussed opportunities to leverage Korean technology and expertise to develop the ministry’s projects, improve the efficiency and reliability of the electricity and water systems, and employ modern technologies and smart solutions in operations and maintenance.

According to the statement, Al-Makhzoum emphasized the ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and exchanging expertise, pointing to the opportunities that future projects offer to specialized Korean companies, thereby contributing to knowledge transfer, technology localization and support for infrastructure development.

The two sides also discussed encouraging Korean technology to participate in the ministry’s future projects, building on the existing cooperation between the two countries to serve common interests and support development goals.
