Traffic Department: Vehicle Rammed and Driver Detained for Recklessness and Carelessness - Sarmad

The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Security Control Department, arrested a vehicle driver for reckless and dangerous driving in the Jahra Istiblat area after he hid the vehicle inside one of the stables.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the arrest followed a report to the operations room regarding a driver engaging in reckless and dangerous behavior. Security Control Department patrols launched search and investigation operations, which led to locating the vehicle inside one of the stables. Coordination was then established with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, resulting in the seizure of the vehicle. The driver’s identity was later determined, and he was arrested.

Upon confrontation, the driver admitted to the alleged offenses. He was referred to the Central Prison, and the vehicle was impounded following its confiscation in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Directorate of Traffic warned against reckless and dangerous driving, emphasizing that endangering the lives of others will be met with strict enforcement of the law. Surveillance and enforcement operations remain ongoing to hold accountable anyone who tampers with road safety and the security of its users.
