The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation successfully dismantled a criminal network that exploited a residential property in the Rihab area for the production and distribution of locally brewed alcohol, as part of continuous security efforts to combat crime and apprehend perpetrators.
The arrest followed intensive investigations and field surveillance that led to identifying and raiding the premises, where approximately 300 containers, each with a capacity of 25 liters, containing alcoholic substances were discovered.
It was revealed that the three-story building was fully utilized for production operations, and hazardous, flammable materials were present, posing a risk to neighboring residences.
Coordination was established with the General Fire Force to secure the site and manage the flammable materials, with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to disconnect the power supply in preparation for removing the illegal structures, alongside the Kuwait Municipality to issue the necessary violations and destroy the seized items.
Legal measures were taken against the suspects, who were referred to the competent authorities.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to identify locations used for criminal activities, apprehend those involved, and take appropriate legal action against them, in order to safeguard community security and safety.
