In a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain said that this came during Minister Al-Maliki’s reception of Ambassador Al-Najim. Both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation among GCC member states and strengthening joint efforts to address current challenges, in a manner that meets the aspirations of their peoples and brings them prosperity and development.
The embassy noted that Minister Al-Maliki praised the strong historical ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as the mutual commitment to further develop and enhance cooperation in ways that serve the common interests of both countries.

The two sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in telecommunications infrastructure and digital transformation, in light of the selection of the Bahraini group “Bine” as the winning investor in the project to develop Kuwait’s national fixed-line telecommunications network.
