Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Macron witness announcement of defense partnership framework - Sarmad

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and French President Emmanuel Macron witnessed on Tuesday the exchange of the framework for the strategic defense partnership between the two countries.

The framework was exchanged by Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs, on the Emirati side, and Catherine Vautrin, French Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans, on the French side.

The two presidents also witnessed the exchange of executive arrangements concerning defense industries.

These arrangements were exchanged by Nasser Hamid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Council for Defense Empowerment, on the Emirati side, and Patrick Pelletier, Director-General of the Directorate General of Armaments, on the French side.

The ceremony, held as part of the French President’s official visit to the UAE, was attended by a number of sheikhs, ministers, and officials.
