The National Bank of Kuwait concluded its participation in the annual meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, hosted in Bangkok, Thailand, with the attendance of Kuwait’s Minister of Finance Yaqoub Al-Rafai and Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait Bassel Al-Haroun, alongside governors of Gulf and global central banks, senior financial officials, and leaders of the worldwide banking sector.
The meetings featured discussions on the global financial situation, the impact of fiscal policies, and interest rate trends, as well as exploration of cooperation opportunities in sustainable finance and digital innovation.
The National Bank of Kuwait Group’s delegation included Abdullah Al-Sumait, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Group; Omar Wahbi, Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Kuwait – United Arab Emirates; Noura Al-Duwish, General Manager of Treasury and Investment; and Lin Haddad, Assistant General Manager of Executive Affairs.
