Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Board of Directors Chairman Hamad Al-Marzouq announced on Monday that the bank achieved net profits of 523.4 million Kuwaiti dinars in the first nine months of the current year, representing a 6.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
In a press statement, Al-Marzouq said that earnings per share reached 27.56 fils for the first nine months of the current year, marking a 5.4 percent increase over the same period last year. He noted that net financing revenues rose to 989.5 million dinars by the end of the third quarter of 2026, reflecting a 4.8 percent annual growth.
He clarified that total operating revenues increased to 1.4 billion dinars by the end of the third quarter, supported by growth across all main activities, representing a 6.7 percent annual increase. He added that as a result of expense control and cost rationalization, total operating expenses decreased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year.
Al-Marzouq further stated that net operating revenues reached approximately 1 billion dinars by the end of the third quarter, achieving an 11.7 percent growth. This was driven by the increase in total operating revenues and the decline in total operating expenses, which improved the cost-to-income ratio to 30.8 percent by the end of the third quarter, down from 33.9 percent in the same period last year.
He pointed out that the financing receivables balance stood at 23.4 billion dinars at the end of the third quarter of the current year, a 7.5 percent increase compared to the end of the previous year. Total assets reached 43.8 billion dinars by the end of the third quarter, up 2.4 percent compared to the end of last year.
Al-Marzouq indicated that total shareholders’ equity at the end of the third quarter of the current year amounted to 5.7 billion dinars, while customer deposits reached approximately 22.7 billion dinars, a 7.8 percent increase compared to the end of last year. The capital adequacy ratio stood at 17.22 percent.
He noted that KFH’s continued strong performance through the end of the third quarter of 2026 confirms the success of its established strategy, its ability to achieve sustainable and balanced growth, and its enhancement of operational efficiency and optimal utilization of resources and assets. This reinforces the bank’s financial strength and strengthens its position in the banking sector.
He added that developments in the country’s business environment, along with supportive legislative and regulatory steps for economic and financial activity—such as the Real Estate Financing Law and the Sukuk Law, preceded by the Law on Borrowing from Future Generations’ Reserve and the Financing and Liquidity Law—represent positive factors for enhancing the capacity of the private sector and financial institutions to grow and contribute to economic development.
For his part, KFH Group Chief Executive Officer Khaled Al-Shamlan said in the statement that the bank’s strong performance through the end of the third quarter of the current year, accompanied by continued profit growth, confirms the group’s operational efficiency, the robustness of its business model, and its ability to deliver strong and sustainable results, despite the economic and geopolitical conditions affecting the region and Kuwait.
Al-Shamlan added that the diversification of revenue sources and the geographic distribution of the group’s operations, which extend to 10 countries worldwide through a network of more than 600 branches, represent a key factor supporting performance stability and revenue enhancement. This is alongside the bank’s continued development of its financing and credit capabilities to meet the needs of individual and corporate customers.
