French President Emmanuel Macron and his official delegation arrived in the country this morning on an official visit.
He was received at the airport by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Also present at the welcome ceremony were His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Prime Minister; His Highness Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Commander of the National Guard; Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali, Minister of Diwan Amiri Affairs; Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah, Minister of Defense; and Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with senior state officials.
An official welcome ceremony for the French President was held at the Amir’s Airport in honor of his official visit. The national anthems of both countries were played, after which President Macron shook hands with several senior members of the Kuwaiti government. His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, also shook hands with members of the accompanying official French delegation.
Accompanying Macron is an official delegation comprising Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans; Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs; Alice Ruffo, Secretary of State attached to the Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans; Sébastien Martel, Secretary of State attached to the Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and Energy, responsible for Industry; and several other senior French officials.
