The Official Gazette, “Kuwait Today,” published on Sunday, issued a decree on judicial appointments, following the approval of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary in its session held on September 30. The decree takes effect from the date of its issuance.
Article One stipulates that the following senior counselors are appointed to the judicial positions listed alongside their names: Senior Counsel Hani Mohammed Ahmed Al-Hamdan as President of the Court of Cassation; Senior Counsel Derrar Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Waqian as Vice President of the Court of Cassation; and Senior Counsel Tariq Abdul Latif Ramadan Al-Jaber as President of the Court of Appeal.
Article Two states that the Minister of Justice shall implement this decree, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
