The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs affirmed the exalted status held by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the brotherly nation, in the hearts of Muslims, given its role as the land of the Two Holy Mosques and the cradle of the Islamic message. The ministry stressed the importance of safeguarding its security and stability, and rejected any aggression targeting its territory or terrorizing those at peace within it.
This came in the Friday sermon designated by the ministry for mosques across the country today, which aimed to underscore the deep fraternal and historical ties uniting Kuwait and the Kingdom, as well as the shared destiny of the two brotherly nations.
The ministry noted that Islam is founded on principles of mercy, justice, security, peace, love, and brotherhood, and is committed to preserving human life and dignity, protecting rights and property, and establishing relationships among people based on justice and fairness.
It emphasized that Islamic Sharia prohibits oppression and aggression against innocent lives, the terrorization of those at peace, and threats to their lives, considering such acts among the major evils abhorred by Sharia and rejected by sound human nature.
It added that serving the Two Holy Mosques, caring for their visitors, and facilitating the rituals of Hajj and Umrah are noble deeds whose impact is felt by Muslims around the world. It clarified that the ties binding the Kingdom to its sister nations are rooted in religious bonds, geographical proximity, history, and a shared destiny.
It pointed out that these fraternal ties must be preserved through loyalty, sincere affection, and standing by the Kingdom in all that promotes good, security, and stability, while rejecting any aggression targeting its people or undermining its capabilities.
It highlighted the importance of instilling in younger generations the values of love for one’s homeland, loyalty to brothers, and respect for rights, as well as strengthening concepts of cooperation and solidarity, which are essential for preserving homelands and safeguarding their security and stability.
The ministry also prayed to Almighty Allah to protect Saudi Arabia, perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability, shield it from all harm and evil, and protect Kuwait, the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Muslim lands. It prayed for the preservation of innocent civilian lives, the healing of the wounded and injured, mercy for the deceased, the prevention of fitnas (trials/strife), wars, and destruction, and the bestowal of security, tranquility, and stability upon their peoples.
