Namaa Charitable, in partnership with Bahrain’s Kaf Humanitarian Foundation, inaugurated the Namaa and Kaf Development Complex in Tanzania, as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting needy communities and implementing sustainable development projects.
Salem Al-Hamadani, Kuwait’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tanzania, stated that the inauguration of the complex embodies Kuwait’s humanitarian role in supporting vulnerable communities, marking a shift from direct aid to implementing sustainable development projects focused on human capacity building and improving quality of life.
Al-Hamadani, who sponsored and attended the opening ceremony, noted that the project reflects the depth of Kuwait’s humanitarian message and the commitment of charitable institutions to provide the essentials of a dignified life for the most needy communities through high-impact initiatives that yield long-term developmental results.
He explained that the complex represents an integrated development model combining education, healthcare, vocational training, and water supply, thereby contributing to building individual capacities, improving living conditions, and enhancing opportunities for stability and productivity.
Al-Hamadani praised Namaa Charitable’s efforts and its partnership with Bahrain’s Kaf Humanitarian Foundation in executing high-impact projects that strengthen ties of cooperation and human solidarity, translating values of giving and solidarity into tangible achievements that benefit beneficiary communities.
For his part, Khaled Al-Shamri, Head of Programs and Initiatives at Namaa Charitable, said the complex’s inauguration represents a significant step in evolving charitable work toward comprehensive development projects that combine the provision of basic services with the economic and social empowerment of individuals, thereby achieving sustainable impact.
Al-Shamri added that the integration of the project’s facilities contributes to providing a comprehensive educational, health, and vocational environment that allows children to continue their education, offers young people opportunities to acquire skills and engage in productive activities, and provides families with essential services that enhance their stability and improve their living conditions.
He noted that Namaa Charitable prioritizes projects that invest in human capital and respond to the actual needs of beneficiary communities, thereby transforming donors’ contributions into long-term developmental services.
Al-Shamri expressed appreciation to the philanthropists and benefactors in Kuwait for their continuous support of humanitarian and development projects, stating that their generosity is a fundamental pillar for the sustainability of initiatives that contribute to building more self-reliant and stable communities.
The complex, which is part of efforts aimed at human development and improving quality of life, includes two primary and secondary schools accommodating 560 students, housing for 180 student orphans, a mosque capable of accommodating approximately 560 worshippers, a vocational institute benefiting 200 individuals, and a bakery serving 500 beneficiaries.
The complex also features a clinic targeting the provision of healthcare services to approximately 5,000 patients, an artesian well with a depth ranging between 120 and 150 meters benefiting around 2,000 people, as well as a multi-service center, administrative and residential facilities, and electrical installations that support the continuous operation of the complex.
