(KUNA) – The Saudi Cabinet affirmed on Tuesday that the Houthi terrorist militia will face the consequences of its crimes and repeated heinous attacks on airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as on Mecca, Medina, pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, civilians, and economic infrastructure.

This statement came during a Cabinet session held in Riyadh, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, according to a statement by Saudi Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari following the meeting.

The Cabinet expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims of those criminal attacks, and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

The Cabinet praised the military operations carried out by the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen to neutralize the threat posed by the Houthi terrorist militia to the Yemeni people, international peace and security, global trade, and international supply chains.

It affirmed that the Kingdom will not allow threats to its security or freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, expressing appreciation for the positions of friendly and allied countries and international organizations condemning the crimes of this rebellious coup-making faction.

The Cabinet commended the success achieved, by God’s grace and through the efforts of the nation’s sons, in restoring oil flows through the East-West pipeline, emphasizing that this rapid recovery demonstrates the high operational flexibility of the Kingdom’s energy system and its ability to develop technical solutions and respond to emergencies, thereby enhancing the reliability and continuity of supplies to international markets and supporting the global economy.

The Cabinet was briefed on the substance of talks and meetings held in recent days between the Kingdom and friendly and allied countries to support bilateral and multilateral cooperation tracks toward greater coordination and integration in addressing common challenges across various fields.

It highlighted the outcomes of the fifth meeting of the Security Coordination Committee, which stems from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, noting its emphasis on continuing joint efforts and collaborative work to implement agreed-upon initiatives that achieve desired objectives and serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, underpinned by the entrenched fraternal relations between the two countries.

The Cabinet welcomed the participants in the 25th World Petroleum Congress and the Arab and international ministerial meetings hosted in Riyadh this week, reflecting the Kingdom’s status as a global hub for dialogue, innovation, knowledge exchange, and partnership-building in the energy sector, and its pioneering role in supporting international cooperation and contributing to shaping the future of the sector.
