OPEC Secretary-General Haitham Al-Ghais affirmed that Riyadh is the most suitable host for the World Energy Week, given its status as the capital of energy security.
Speaking in an interview with Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel, he said that the Kingdom plays a pivotal historical role in ensuring global energy security.
He clarified that during the current crisis, the Kingdom has demonstrated its ability to secure global energy supplies safely and consistently, despite the challenges.
He added that the efforts of the Ministry of Energy, Saudi Aramco, and workers in the sector have contributed to ensuring the continued supply of energy to global markets.
He noted that the participation of thousands of attendees from around the world reflects the Kingdom’s standing and importance in the global energy sector.
