(KUNA) – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, affirmed today, Monday, that all capabilities of the Ministry of Interior are being mobilized to ensure the successful hosting of the Saudi Super Cup football matches and to provide the necessary facilities for fans, participants, and visitors arriving in Kuwait.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, speaking after attending the signing ceremony of the government partner sponsorship agreement for the Saudi Super Cup at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, stated that “hosting the tournament reflects the confidence of the Saudi leadership and officials in the Kingdom in Kuwait’s ability to organize this sporting event, and embodies the deep fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.”

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef welcomed his brothers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to their second home, Kuwait, as well as all fans from various countries, emphasizing that “the solid fraternal ties uniting the two countries give this hosting special significance,” and that Kuwait is keen to provide everything necessary to ensure its success.

He affirmed that the safety of fans and participants is a priority at all stages of preparation and organization, stressing the need for integration between security and service plans, clarity of responsibilities, and precision in implementation to guarantee the smooth conduct of the matches and efficient handling of various circumstances.

He noted that the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to ensure the success of the hosting include serving fans and all those entering Kuwait, citing the experience of organizing the 26th Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 26), and expressed his anticipation for a distinguished organization of the tournament scheduled for December next year.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef reaffirmed that Kuwait stands “heart and soul” alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
