Kuwait: Continued Houthi Militia Attacks on Saudi Arabia a Blatant Violation of Its Sovereignty - Sarmad

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and outrage over the continued terrorist and criminal attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. The attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of one resident and injuries to others, as well as material damage, in a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

The Ministry emphasized that persisting in targeting civilian airports and critical infrastructure constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, necessitating a firm international stance to halt these heinous attacks and hold those responsible accountable.

The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security and stability and safeguard its sovereignty, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

The Ministry also expressed Kuwait’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the victim’s family, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
