Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey condemn Houthi attacks on the Kingdom - Sarmad

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey have condemned the attacks launched by the Houthi group against the Kingdom, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport, affirming their solidarity with Riyadh and calling for an immediate halt to the attacks.

In a joint statement, the four countries said the attacks resulted in civilian casualties and inflicted damage on infrastructure and civilian facilities, describing them as violations of international law and threats to the Kingdom’s security and stability.

The quartet emphasized that the attacks constitute an assault on Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and represent a serious escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext, stressing that the security of the Kingdom and the safety of its citizens and residents are paramount.

The four countries reaffirmed their support for the legitimate measures and steps taken by Riyadh to confront the attacks, deter sources of threat, and prevent their recurrence, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

The group held the Houthi group fully responsible for the attacks and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability, calling for an immediate and unconditional cessation.

On Sunday, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was hit in a new attack. The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that the assault resulted in injuries, noting that damage assessments and verification of facility safety are underway in coordination with relevant authorities.

On Saturday, 12 people were killed and 309 others injured as the Yemeni Houthi group escalated its attacks against the Kingdom.
