British Defense Secretary Wes Streeting affirmed on Sunday that Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia constitute a dangerous escalation and a worrying sign of the group’s growing aggressive pattern.
In a press statement, Streeting said that the Houthi militia’s targeting of civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia, particularly King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, is highly reprehensible and utterly unacceptable.
He emphasized that these actions are among the reasons driving the United Kingdom to provide support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including through air defense systems and aerial refueling operations.
Streeting stressed the urgent need to end the conflict and halt Houthi operations against civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia.
Yesterday, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that 12 people were killed and 309 others injured in the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
