9 killed in shooting in Pennsylvania, US - Sarmad

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced on Saturday that nine people were killed in a shooting in the city of Erie, Pennsylvania.
According to CBS, police were called to Perry Street around 5 p.m. Friday after witnesses reported seeing a man firing randomly before entering a home in the area.
Two women were found dead on the street, and additional victims were found dead inside the house.
Police said the suspect was also found dead from a gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted.
On Saturday morning, police confirmed the final death toll, stating that all fatalities occurred before law enforcement arrived.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah said it was difficult to put such a tragedy into words. He added, “Out of respect for the victims and their loved ones, we will not discuss the details our officers faced today.”
Local authorities issued a joint statement on social media confirming that there was no longer any threat to the public.
