Trump Appoints Katie Zaccaria as White House Press Secretary

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday the appointment of conservative commentator Katie Zagarria as the new White House spokesperson, succeeding Caroline Leavitt, who left the post last August.

Trump wrote on his platform “Truth Social”: “It is a great honor for me to have just appointed Katie Zagarria as White House Press Secretary.”

He added: “I am confident that Katie will deliver strong results for our country in her role as the next White House spokesperson. She is respected by the media, the American people, and my administration, and she will work excellently with all of them.”

Trump praised Zagarria, describing her as a loyal advocate who participated in his election campaigns and helped in key swing states.

Trump also thanked Leavitt, describing her as “wonderful” and stating that she did “excellent work” in her role as White House spokesperson.

Katie Zagarria was born in 1984 in California. She is a lawyer who graduated from Pepperdine University and its Caruso School of Law. She previously served as spokesperson and deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security.

Currently, she holds the position of senior communications advisor at Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that has operated the “Truth Social” platform since July, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She is considered an enthusiastic supporter of the “MAGA” movement and is regularly featured on conservative media outlets, including Fox News and Newsmax, to defend the policies of the US administration.
