Ministry of Social Affairs: Investigation into Alleged Child Abuse at a Kindergarten - Sarmad

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Acting, Faisal Al-Kandari, confirmed that necessary measures have been taken, under the directives of Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Hawila, regarding a video circulating on social media platforms that allegedly shows the abuse of a child in one of the nurseries.

Al-Kandari clarified that the relevant department has been directed to summon the child’s guardian and the nursery manager to investigate the circumstances of the incident, alongside taking the necessary legal actions.

He emphasized that the Minister’s directives are clear and firm regarding the protection of children and ensuring their safety, with no tolerance for any violations that compromise their security and well-being, and he reaffirmed that legal measures will be taken against anyone found responsible.

Regarding surveillance cameras, Al-Kandari noted that all nurseries are required to install surveillance cameras in accordance with the circular issued on this matter, thereby enhancing oversight and safeguarding children’s safety.
