Saudi Arabia: 3 Saudis Martyred in Attacks on King Khalid Airport - Sarmad

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that on Thursday, October 8, King Khalid International Airport was subjected to two attacks. The first attack targeted airport facilities, while the second targeted a Saudia aircraft. Emergency teams and relevant authorities immediately responded to the attacks in accordance with approved procedures and plans.
The two attacks resulted in the martyrdom of three Saudi citizens – may God have mercy on them – and injured several citizens and residents of various nationalities, with injuries ranging from minor to severe. They were promptly transported to hospitals to receive necessary medical care. The attacks also caused some material damage.
The Authority emphasized that work continues in close coordination with relevant security agencies to assess the damage and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and staff, and to safeguard the security and integrity of the Kingdom’s civil aviation system. It further noted that operational operations at the airport have resumed and air traffic has returned to normal.
