(KUNA) – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud chaired a coordination meeting on Wednesday to assess readiness to host the Saudi Super Cup matches in Kuwait. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Media and Culture Omar Al-Omar, and Minister of State for Youth and Sports Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma.
In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Saud emphasized the importance of continuous on-the-ground monitoring of preparations, direct coordination among relevant authorities, and the prompt resolution of obstacles to ensure full readiness with precision and efficiency, safeguard the safety of spectators and participants, ensure proper organization of the matches, and present this sporting event in a manner befitting the name of the State of Kuwait.
The statement noted that the meeting reviewed preparations for hosting the matches and enhanced coordination among relevant authorities, contributing to the integration of security, organizational, and media efforts, completing hosting requirements, and providing necessary facilitations for spectators and participants.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Department, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Kuwait Municipality, the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, the Kuwait Football Association, as well as Fahad Al-Ghanim, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aayan Group, and Rashid Al-Omairi, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Ray Media Group.
