The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Doha supports the “Mecca Alliance” and all efforts that enhance regional stability, emphasizing that it is too early to discuss Qatar’s potential membership in the alliance.

It added, “We support initiatives by countries in the region to preserve their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, including the Mecca Alliance,” clarifying that the alliance strengthens regional cooperation to safeguard the resources and stability of regional states.

Qatar reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to preserve its security and territorial integrity, condemning the irresponsible Houthi approach of targeting Saudi Arabia, Islamic holy sites, and civilian infrastructure. It also strongly condemned the Houthi attack on an electricity station in Medina that serves the Prophet’s Mosque.

On another note, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Qatar has informed the Iranian side of the latest developments regarding the case of the Iranian pilots, and that it remains open to an Iranian visit to review the measures taken in connection with this file. It noted that confirmation of the Iranian Interior Minister’s visit, including its timing and details, falls within the purview of the Qatari Ministry of Interior.
