Tonight... Saudi Arabia and UAE Face Off in the Final of 'Gulf Arab Homelands 27' - Sarmad

Saudi Arabia’s city of Jeddah is set to witness the crowning of the champion of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, “Gulf of Arab Homes 27,” on Tuesday, as the Saudi “Green” team, aiming for its fourth title, faces the UAE “White” team, seeking its third, in the final match at the Inma Stadium within the King Abdullah Sports City.
The Saudi national team enters the clash with the advantage of home soil and crowd support, having continued its campaign unbeaten. Meanwhile, the UAE team approaches the match with the ambition of completing its tournament journey and reaching the podium.
The Saudi team reached the final after topping Group A with a perfect record, following victories over Kuwait, Oman, and Iraq, before overcoming Qatar in the semi-finals via a penalty shootout (3-2) after both regular and extra time ended goalless.
Conversely, the UAE team topped Group B on goal difference ahead of Qatar, after defeating Yemen and Bahrain and drawing with Qatar. They continued their path to the final by beating Oman 1-0, with Ousmane Camara scoring the decisive goal.
The final brings together two teams that have successfully advanced through their opponents without suffering a defeat during the tournament, heightening expectations for a competitive conclusion that combines the home side’s desire to triumph before their fans with the UAE team’s determination to return with the trophy.
The Saudi team previously won the title in 1994, 2002, and 2003, while the UAE team was crowned champion in 2007 and 2013.
The final match concludes the tournament, which kicked off in Jeddah on September 23, featuring eight teams divided into two groups.
