Apple prepares to launch new iPad update with features for Siri and Apple TV - Sarmad

Apple is preparing to release a new update for its iPad operating system, featuring new enhancements aimed at improving the user experience, particularly in interactions with the Siri voice assistant and the Apple TV app.
The tech website 9to5Mac reported in an article published the day before yesterday that iPadOS 27.2 is scheduled for release later this month, bringing several improvements, most notably a new interactive Siri window and a user profiles feature in the Apple TV app.
The new Siri feature allows users to interact more quickly with selected text on the iPad screen. A contextual window appears when text is selected using the trackpad or mouse, enabling users to ask Siri questions or access tools such as spell check and text rewriting.
The window also provides suggestions that assist users while typing, allowing certain tasks related to the selected text to be performed directly without leaving the current app.
The update also adds user profiles to the Apple TV app on iPads, a feature already available on Apple TV 4K devices. It allows each user to maintain their own watchlist, playback history, and content recommendations.
This feature is especially useful when an iPad is shared among family members, as different profiles can be selected for each user. Children’s accounts adhere to parental controls for content settings and age restrictions.
These enhancements are part of Apple’s ongoing updates to the iPad operating system, designed to facilitate interaction with text and content and to provide a more convenient user experience when devices are shared among family members.
