UAE: We condemn Israeli fortifications within 'Sufa 53' line inside Syria - Sarmad

The United Arab Emirates condemned, on Monday, the completion of Israeli military operations involving digging, earthmoving, and the construction of fortifications within Syrian territory, along what is referred to as the “Sufa 53” line, affirming its firm rejection of violations of Syria’s sovereignty and threats to its security and stability.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory constitute a blatant violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel, which Israel is obligated to respect.
The ministry, in a statement relayed by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), reiterated the UAE’s steadfast position supporting Syria’s stability and its sovereignty over its entire territory, standing alongside the brotherly Syrian people, and backing all efforts aimed at realizing their aspirations for security, peace, dignified living, peaceful coexistence, and development.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take immediate action to halt the repeated attacks on Syrian territory, to stop escalation, and to prevent any developments that could heighten tensions in the region and threaten regional and international peace and security.
