Pakistani Foreign Ministry: Agreement on rapid troop deployment in Saudi Arabia under 'Mecca Alliance' - Sarmad

(Royters) – The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a joint statement issued today, Monday, following an emergency meeting, that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey agreed to the rapid deployment of forces and military capabilities in the Kingdom.

The statement added that the countries also agreed to appoint Naeem Mahmood of Pakistan as the first Secretary-General of the Mecca Defense Alliance for a term of three years.
