Qalibaf: Americans Say One Thing in Media While Proposing Ideas Through Intermediaries - Sarmad

Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf affirmed that the Americans say one thing in the media while advancing proposals through intermediaries.
Qalibaf stated in a speech before the public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Sunday: “Of course, it is not only the Zionists who have fallen into the throes of despair and helplessness; the Americans, too, have reached a point of despair in the face of the Iranian people’s resistance. The Americans, who claim otherwise in the media, have recently put forward proposals through intermediaries. But they must realize that the era of wasting time and imposing unilateral demands has passed, and the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is clear and unequivocal. The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until our seven conditions, based on the Islamabad memorandum, are met.”
He pointed out that “the aim of these artificial contradictions is also to create mental confusion in Iranian society, destabilize the decision-making process among officials, and manipulate our strategic calculations. But what an illusion! The Islamic Republic of Iran does not shape its overall policy and national security through tweets or daily interviews with American officials. We base our actions on the enemy’s behavior and actual deeds, not on speeches and false contradictions in the media.”
He added: “According to a strategy of strength and rationality, we will not be driven by emotions nor yield to intimidation. We will continue to fight and negotiate simultaneously. We will be fully present on the military battlefield, and we will surprise the enemy with new developments. At the same time, we will employ diplomatic tools to consolidate our military superiority and secure the rights of the Iranian people.”
He continued: “I have said repeatedly that the winner in the negotiation arena is the one who is prepared for war.”
He further remarked: “October 7 marked a pivotal turning point that divided the region’s history into before and after, transforming the Zionists’ illusion of false security into a persistent fear that haunts them.”
He referred to the martyred Imam’s statement in the early days: “The defeat of the Zionist regime on October 7 is an irreparable defeat.” Today, as time passes, the dimensions of this precise strategic analysis have become clear to aware analysts.
He stressed that “the pillars of the Zionist regime’s national security doctrine have collapsed and cannot be rebuilt through any operation or budget.”
The United States and Israel began launching strikes on sites inside Iran on February 28, prompting Tehran to respond with similar strikes. In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum to halt hostilities, but both sides later resumed exchanging attacks. The conflict remains unresolved to date.
