(KUNA) – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, today on Sunday conferred the rank of second lieutenant on an officer, in accordance with the Emir’s decree appointing him as an officer in the Kuwaiti Army.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces said in a press statement that Lieutenant General Al-Sharhan emphasized that this appointment entails additional responsibilities and duties, wishing him success and prosperity in performing his tasks and obligations, and encouraging him to continue his contributions and work with a sense of responsibility and dedication to serve the country with full competence and capability.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mubarak Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
