Qalibaf: Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless its conditions are met - Sarmad

Nour News reported on Sunday that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said the Strait of Hormuz would not be reopened unless Iran’s seven conditions outlined in the interim agreement with the United States, signed last June, are met. This statement comes days after Tehran received Washington’s response to its diplomatic proposal.
Qalibaf said, “The Americans, who say one thing in the media, have recently put forward proposals through a mediator. But they must realize that the era of stalling and imposing unilateral demands has ended.”
He added, “The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is clear and resolute. The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until our seven conditions, based on the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, are fulfilled.”
