(KUNA) – The Acting Director of the Meteorology Department, Darar Al-Ali, said on Saturday that the country is currently experiencing humid weather with a chance of scattered light rain, occasionally thunderstorms, and fog forming in the evening, a condition expected to last until Sunday morning.
Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is affected by an extension of a humid low-pressure system, coinciding with a low-pressure system in the upper atmospheric layers. This combination leads to the proliferation of low and mid-level clouds, accompanied by scattered light rain that may occasionally be thunderous.
He added that winds will be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, with a chance of fog forming in the evening and early morning, reducing visibility to below 1,000 meters in some areas until tomorrow morning.
Al-Ali predicted that visibility will gradually improve during the early morning hours, urging citizens and residents to follow the weather bulletin through the Department’s official website, its mobile application, and its social media accounts to stay updated on the latest weather developments.
