As part of the General Authority for Food and Nutrition’s ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments, the Hawalli Governorate Inspectorate, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, conducted an inspection campaign that resulted in the issuance of 28 violation reports, the destruction of 146.142 kilograms of adulterated and untraceable food products, and the closure of one establishment’s kitchen.
According to a statement from the Authority, the violations included non-compliance with health and technical requirements, trading without valid licenses and approved health certificates, and the circulation of adulterated food products.
The Authority emphasized that its supervisory campaigns will continue in coordination with relevant authorities, and that legal measures will be taken against violators to safeguard consumer health and safety.
