Macron: G7 Agrees to Release 100 Million Barrels of Fuel - Sarmad

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the G7 nations have agreed to release up to 100 million barrels of fuel from their strategic reserves into the markets.
Macron wrote on social media: “We have decided to release, over four months, in coordination with our partners and under the supervision of the International Energy Agency, up to 100 million barrels from strategic reserves.”
This announcement follows comments by U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday on Truth Social, in which he confirmed that European countries had agreed to release large quantities of their diesel fuel reserves, and that the process would begin immediately.
Trump had previously hinted at the possibility of imposing an export ban on diesel to stabilize the fuel market within the United States. Later, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said he intended to invite Europeans to release part of their diesel reserves.
