(KUNA) – Education Minister Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabaei launched the “Smart School – Albus” project today, Thursday, in collaboration with Google for Education, at Jumanah bint Abi Talib Girls’ Secondary School, one of the schools implementing the Tracks System. The launch was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Engineer Hamad Al-Hamad, and several senior officials from the Ministry.

In a speech delivered at the project launch ceremony alongside the Google team, Minister Al-Tabatabaei stated that the Ministry is steadfastly advancing its comprehensive reform and development agenda for the education system, striving to achieve its desired goals and aspirations in line with the high directives of the political leadership. He emphasized that the education sector continues to receive sustained support and attention aimed at enhancing its quality.

He affirmed that cooperation and integration among the stakeholders of the education system constitute the cornerstone for elevating education in the State of Kuwait to its highest standards. He extended his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may God protect and guard him), His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah (may God protect and guard him), and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, for their continuous support and attention to the education sector.

He noted that the Ministry of Education is steadily progressing in its development journey, building an educational model that keeps pace with the future and fulfills the aspirations of Kuwait and its people. He explained that the project aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to foster innovation and accelerate the digital transformation process, empowering the school environment to leverage modern technologies to serve the educational process.

He clarified that educational development is not tied to a single project or isolated technological tool, but rather relies on an integrated system that combines modern curricula, educational tracks, teacher qualification, school environment development, and technology. This holistic approach places the learner at the heart of the educational process, equipping them with the tools and skills needed to meet future demands.

He further explained that the project represents a comprehensive model that integrates the “Tracks System,” as one of the initiatives for secondary education development, with the “Smart School” project, which serves as a supportive digital educational environment. This integration enables female students to experience a more flexible and interactive education, expands opportunities for research, exploration, and self-directed learning, and contributes to developing digital and future-ready skills.
