Qatar's Ministry of Interior Allows Drone Use in Specific Areas and Times - Sarmad

The Qatari Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and relevant authorities, announced the permission to use unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in designated areas, which can be identified through the “Matarash” application, effective immediately.

The ministry clarified that usage is permitted during two daily time slots: the first from sunrise until 9:00 a.m., and the second from 2:00 p.m. until sunset.

It called for adherence to the designated areas and times, prohibiting the use of drones outside authorized zones or for unlicensed purposes, while complying with approved regulations and restrictions.

The ministry emphasized that it will take necessary legal action against violators in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
