Kuwait's Burqan loses to Hungary's Veszprém at the World Club Handball Championship hosted by Egypt - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Al-Burqan club lost to their Hungarian counterparts, Veszprém, by a score of 19–44 in the third and final group stage match of the 19th edition of the IHF Men’s Club World Championship, hosted by Egypt.

Veszprém managed to control the first half of the match, which was held Tuesday evening at the New Capital Arena in Egypt, ending the half with a 26–9 lead in favor of the Hungarian side, which extended its dominance in the second half to secure the victory.

The Club World Cup, which concludes on Thursday, features 10 teams representing the six continents, along with the defending champions, the host nation, and two wildcard entries: Spain’s Barcelona, Germany’s Füchse Berlin, Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Zamalek, Morocco’s Mouloudia Oujda, Brazil’s EC Pinheiros, the United States’ Los Angeles, Australia’s University of Sydney, as well as Kuwait’s Al-Burqan and Hungary’s Veszprém.
