Ben Gvir: I Will Burn Yahya Sinwar's Corpse If I Become Defense Minister - Sarmad

Extremist Israeli National Security Minister in the occupation government, Itamar Ben-Gvir, pledged that after obtaining the Defense Ministry portfolio, “he would ensure the burning of the corpse of Yahya Sinwar and the corpses of the October 7 terrorists held in Israel.”

In an interview with Kan Reshet Bet radio, he stated: “After I obtain the Defense portfolio, I will ensure the burning of Sinwar’s corpse and the corpses of the October 7 terrorists, and as Defense Minister, I will lead a fundamental change in the approach.”

This pledge comes amid Ben-Gvir’s repeated calls for his appointment as Defense Minister in the next government. In recent days, he repeatedly outlined his plans for the Defense Ministry, saying at an event organized by the Nahal movement near the Gaza border: “I hope that even before the elections we will reach Netzarim, but if that does not happen before the elections, God forbid, I hope, with God’s help, that I will become Defense Minister of the State of Israel to bring us back to Netzarim and to the entire northern perimeter and to all of Gaza.”

Earlier, Ben-Gvir presented a security plan that includes a policy encouraging voluntary emigration from the Gaza Strip, Judea, and Samaria. He also seeks to disarm the Palestinian Authority and arrest its senior officials who support terrorism.

Regarding the operations of the Israeli military, Ben-Gvir wants to modify the rules of engagement and expand support provided to soldiers. His plan also includes increasing soldiers’ salaries and granting free land to combat soldiers.

There are two additional items concerning internal changes within the Israeli military. Ben-Gvir seeks to amend the military’s code of ethics, which his party described as “Asa Kasher’s progressive code of ethics,” and to open elite units, including Unit 8200, to all segments of the population.
