Saudi Foreign Minister Arrives in Washington for Talks with US Counterpart - Sarmad

The Saudi Press Agency reported that Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Washington on Monday to hold talks with his U.S. counterpart, Marco Rubio, amid escalating combat operations between Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni Houthi movement.

The agency added that the two ministers would also discuss “bilateral relations and key developments on the regional and international fronts.”

Reuters sources said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman requested U.S. military assistance this month to counter the Iran-aligned Houthis. Washington declined to carry out airstrikes but agreed to provide intelligence support and assistance in target identification.
