Traffic Department: Two Suspects Caught for Reckless Driving, Vehicles Crushed - Sarmad

The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Security Surveillance Department, succeeded in apprehending suspects who engaged in reckless and careless driving, endangering the safety of road users in the Al-Wafra agricultural area. One of them deliberately obstructed the work of a security surveillance patrol in an attempt to allow the other to escape.

In a press statement, the Ministry clarified that the arrest operation followed the observation of a vehicle driving without license plates and emitting loud, disturbing noises, accompanied by another vehicle whose driver obstructed the patrol. Through investigation and surveillance, the suspects were apprehended, and a video recording was obtained documenting the driver of the first vehicle engaging in reckless and careless behavior.

The statement added that traffic violations were issued against both individuals, necessary legal procedures were taken, and they were referred to the Central Prison. Both vehicles were impounded after completing legal formalities, in light of violations related to reckless driving, negligent operation, and endangering the safety of road users, in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Directorate of Traffic warned against reckless and careless driving and obstructing security patrols, emphasizing that surveillance and monitoring efforts remain ongoing to apprehend violators and take legal action against them, in order to safeguard the safety of all road users.
