Ministry of Development and Sustainable Affairs: Kuwait Interested in Adopting Modern Technologies to Support 'Food Security' - Sarmad

(KUNA) – State Minister for Development and Sustainability, Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, affirmed on Sunday that Kuwait is keen to adopt modern solutions and technologies that contribute to enhancing agricultural production efficiency, rationalizing the use of water and resources, and supporting the food security system, thereby achieving sustainable development goals.

This statement came during a press interview following her meeting with Yova Mustonen, the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Kuwait, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between the two friendly countries in the fields of sustainability, environmental protection, food security, and modern technologies in the agricultural sector.

The meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest and the opportunities available to benefit from Finnish expertise and experiences in supporting sustainable practices, and leveraging technology and innovation to develop the agricultural sector and improve resource efficiency.

Minister Al-Faleh emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation and exchanging knowledge and expertise in sectors related to sustainability, particularly in light of global challenges associated with climate change, food security, and the preservation of natural resources.

For his part, Ambassador Mustonen expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between Finland and Kuwait in areas of mutual interest, especially sustainability, environment, technology, and innovation.

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue to explore practical opportunities and areas of cooperation that contribute to developing the partnership and exchanging expertise between the two friendly countries.
