Interior Minister Assures Well-being of Two Individuals Injured in Dog Attack

• Registration of a case of “negligence in guarding an animal and causing injury by mistake”

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, checked on the health condition of individuals who had been attacked by dogs.

Al-Yousef visited an employee of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources at Al-Farwaniya Hospital, following an attack by several stray dogs while he was carrying out his duties at the Authority’s premises, which resulted in multiple injuries. His Excellency assured himself of the employee’s health status and listened to a briefing on the developments in his medical condition, wishing him a speedy recovery and complete health and well-being.

He also checked on the health of a Kuwaiti citizen who was attacked by a dog while entering her residence, resulting in multiple injuries. She was transferred to Al-Amiri Hospital to receive treatment.

Security authorities promptly responded to the incident site, where it was determined that the dog was owned by an individual. A case of “negligence in guarding an animal and causing injury by mistake” was registered, and the necessary legal procedures are underway.

The Ministry also urges everyone to exercise caution and vigilance, and to call the emergency number (112) to report any situations that pose a risk to public safety or gatherings of stray dogs, providing precise location details, so that the relevant authorities can take the necessary measures to help protect lives and enhance public safety.
