Meta Enables AI-Powered Game Creation on Mobile Phones - Sarmad

Meta announced the launch of two new tools that allow users to create mobile games using simple text prompts for artificial intelligence, without requiring specialized expertise in game programming, while enabling users to share and play the games with others.

Digital Trends, a technology news website, reported that the tools, “Horizon Create” and “Horizon Studio,” are currently available in early access, and interested users can sign up for the waitlist.

The mobile-focused “Horizon Create” app allows users to describe a game idea in natural language, which the AI then converts into a playable game. Users can select characters, storylines, and art styles, and make subsequent modifications.

“Horizon Studio,” which operates via a web browser, offers more detailed options for editing scenes, elements, and scripts. It also allows projects to be transferred between the mobile app and the browser without needing to start over.

User-created games can be published on Meta’s platforms and shared with others. According to reports on the tools, the company also allows users to join multiplayer gaming sessions without needing to download the game.

Meta clarified that the games undergo safety checks and receive automatic age ratings before publication, as part of the company’s efforts to expand the use of the “Horizon” platform beyond virtual reality devices.

These tools are part of Meta’s trend toward enabling the creation of interactive content using artificial intelligence, following the company’s earlier release of tools for creating worlds and 3D content through natural language commands.
