Gulf Cup 27: The Blue Team Concludes Preparations for Match Against Iraq

(KUNA) – The Kuwaiti national senior football team held training sessions today, Friday, at the auxiliary pitch of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in preparation for tomorrow’s Saturday match against Iraq in the second round of Group A of the 27th edition of the Gulf Cup of Nations (Khaleeji 27).

The training session was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, President of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association; Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Sports and Youth and President of the Qatar Football Association; and Ayman Al-Husseini, Vice President of the Kuwait Football Association for Technical Affairs and head of the Kuwaiti delegation.

Also present were Dr. Ahmed Ajib, member of the Kuwait Football Association’s Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the Gulf Football Union; Nasser Al-Adwani, member of the Kuwait FA’s Board of Directors; Dr. Saleh Al-Majroub, General Secretary of the Kuwait FA; former international player Saad Al-Houti; and media representatives.
