Turkish Chief of General Staff attends meeting in Saudi Arabia under the "Makkah Agreement" - Sarmad

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktar will travel to Saudi Arabia to meet his Saudi and Pakistani counterparts under the framework of the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defense.

This follows an earlier statement by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the chiefs of staff would hold an urgent meeting to discuss ways to support Riyadh under the defense agreement, which stipulates that any aggression against any party is considered an attack on all parties.

Ankara and Islamabad expressed their readiness to assist in meeting any military needs of Riyadh if necessary.
