Crown Prince discusses major projects of Limak Holding in Kuwait
Representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Amir of the State, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince, received Volkan Bozkir, Advisor to the Board of Directors of Limak Holding, and Abro Ozdemir, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Limak Holding, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the major construction and development projects being implemented by the company in Kuwait, as well as its programs aimed at developing and training national competencies through knowledge transfer and capacity building.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation to support enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and contributing to achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Jeraah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Al-Bannai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; and Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.
In another development, representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Amir of the State, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince, received Scott Strazik, Chief Executive Officer of the global energy company GE Vernova, and his accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting reviewed the existing areas of cooperation between Kuwait and the global company, as well as ways to strengthen the partnership in developing energy projects and improving the efficiency of power generation plants.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments regarding the GE Technology Center in Kuwait, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, while emphasizing the importance of developing human capital and investing in national competencies through knowledge transfer and capacity building, thereby contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the achievement of the objectives of Kuwait Vision.
