Al-Hawila: Selection of qualified candidates for regulatory positions in cooperatives - Sarmad
Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Umthail Al-Houla, affirmed on Thursday the ministry’s continued efforts to strengthen oversight and monitoring, and to enhance the performance of cooperative societies, thereby contributing to the advancement of the cooperative sector and the improvement of services provided to members.
She made these remarks in a press statement while attending part of the personal interviews for candidates applying for financial and administrative inspector positions within the cooperative sector, as part of the process to select new national competencies capable of performing the oversight role with efficiency and excellence.
Al-Houla stated that the ministry is keen to select qualified individuals for oversight positions, which helps protect members’ funds and ensures compliance with the laws and regulations governing cooperative operations.
She added that developing oversight mechanisms is a fundamental pillar in reducing violations and entrenching the principles of transparency and discipline in this vital sector, noting that the selection of national competencies is conducted according to standards that ensure fairness and equal opportunity among applicants.
Al-Houla explained that the personal interview procedures are carried out under clear and organized guidelines, including video recording of the interviews to document the selection stages and reinforce the principles of transparency and impartiality in the evaluation process.
She praised the extensive female participation from citizens seeking to join the oversight workforce in the cooperative sector, highlighting that this influx reflects the commitment of national competencies to participate and take on responsibility across various fields of public work.
She affirmed the ministry’s ongoing support for and empowerment of national human resources in oversight positions within the cooperative sector, contributing to building a more efficient and disciplined oversight system and enhancing the quality of work in cooperative societies.
