North Korea: No Recourse to Our Nuclear Weapons

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui on Thursday as saying that the country’s nuclear weapons status is irreversible, and that the more the United States and its allies call for nuclear disarmament, the more firmly Pyongyang clings to its position.

The North Korean minister’s remarks came in response to a meeting held this week between the United States, South Korea, and Japan. During the meeting, the three countries reaffirmed their commitment to the complete denuclearization of North Korea.
